I know a lot of people right now are fed up with the lag, and suppose cheaters. I know I have many times, and its effecting out playerbase. Below I will try to help you understand why lag and "cheaters", are happening.
LAG
Lag is caused by many reasons. One of the main reasons is server issues. If you in America, you should know that CCPs server are in Reykjavik, Iceland. So the server is really far away from us. This can cause a lot of connection problems for further away countries. Also It can cause the CCP server Tranquility to shut down if damaged.
( somebody tell me if there is multiple towers please )
Another reason might be all the new content CCP has added. Also all the fittings the game has to load, as well as the Mail, and contacts you might have. For some game to run smoothly, you have to have around 30 FPS, and your system has to load a command within 2M/S. So think of it like a bag. The bag is the PS3, the can are all of Dusts mail, contacts, fitting, and etc. If you add to many cans, your bag gets really heavy. But eventually it will rip.
SOLUTION
You cannot do much about the server part except try to make your system run smoother. Try cleaning out the PS3, deleting unwanted game, and make sure your internet connection is great.
You can however do a little with the content part. DELETE all of unwanted mail, and stick to (3) contacts or less. Also make sure you do not have 50 fittings, as that will also affect your game.
"HACKING"
Like I said above, our server in America is further away than Japan. Have you ever wondered why Japan, and Europe is so much better. Sorry Japan, your not better. Its down to the connection that the game transmits to the server. So the closer you are, the faster the "control reaction", youll have.
think of it like a gun. The bullet is the connection speed, and the target the tower. If you were to shoot the target from 5 meters ( Japan ). The bullet would get their faster than a gun firing at a mile away ( America ). There is no way I know of I can help you on that situation.
But be aware, you can use Modded controllers. ( **** Do not recommend to try as it violates rules, conditions, and agreement. This character is strictly using it for demonstrative purposes, without the intention to endorse and use of a modded controller***)

Haha your funny, actually none of this came from Cyber Security. It came from basic knowledge. I'm interested in computer security, firewall, and programming. Video game designing might be fun, but you got to know how the system works first.  |
